What is CTI Accelerate?

Online Modules
You are encouraged to spend around 10 hours per week completing online modules that cover:
- Problem solving for interviews
- Python proficiency
- GitHub and contributing to open-source projects
- Teamwork
- Professional networking
- Culture and professionalism

Learning Community
While you work through the online content, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with your peers – to ask questions and to help keep each other motivated:
- 1-3 weekly online large-group work sessions
- 1-2 weekly small-group check-ins
- An Accelerate Slack channel

Micro-Internships
For four weeks during the semester, work in a team of 3 with an industry mentor to make a small, but meaningful contribution to an open source project. You also interact with industry professionals during:
- Engineer tech talks
- Recruiter presentations
- Mentorship sessions
- Mock and real interviews

Summer Work Experience
The primary goal of Accelerate is to give you the best shot possible at landing a meaningful summer work experience. This could be a tech internship, a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU), or an 8-week, paid, mentored open-source project through our partners at CodeDay Labs.
