CTI Accelerate
CTI Accelerate is an 18-month program that guides CS college students through a series of modules and workshops designed to prep them for interview problem solving, support their internship search, connect them with industry mentors, and get them started in a summer internship or mentored open-source project experience. Applications for the 2021-2022 program are due March 7, 2021.
Timeline for Accelerate Cohort I
The application period opens January 15 and closes March 7, 2021.
Pre Program Preparation
Mar-Apr 2021
- 2 Saturday workshops with a few assignments in-between
- Independently practice and complete a series of “starter” problems in Python
Interview Problem Solving
Jun-Aug 2021
- ~10 hours per week including 2 live-instruction sessions, video guidance, study groups
- Practice over 50 scaffolded problems common to technical interviews
Professional Dev & Preparation
Sep 2021-Feb 2022
- ~6-8 hours per week including 2 live workshops
- Refine resume and LinkedIn profile, practice interviews, hone problem solving skills, and meet hiring orgs
Quality Engineering & Technical Prep
Mar-Apr 2022
- ~6-8 hours per week including 2 live workshops
- Get training on tools and techniques to develop ready-to-deploy code in corporate and open source contexts
Meaningful Work Experience
June – Aug 2022
- Complete a traditional tech internship, a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU), OR work on an open-source internship through CodeLabs
